GOAL

 

 

GOAL is an international humanitarian and development agency dedicated to the alleviation of suffering amongst the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world. It was founded in Dublin, Ireland, in 1977.

GOAL has responded to almost every major natural and man-made disaster and catastrophe in the past 40 years and their priority is to bring life-saving assistance to people affected by emergencies by providing food, healthcare and other basic requirements, while currently operating in 13 countries in the developing world: Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, Iraq, Malawi, Niger, Sierra Leone, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Turkey, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

To help raise funds for their vital work, we creating this unique public arts initiative.

What On Earth is a collection of 100 resin globe sculptures, decorated by 100 high profile artists and celebrities. Together they formed a travelling public art exhibition which toured a number of key cities on the island of Ireland in the autumn of 2018 before being auctioned off to raise valuable funds for GOAL enabling them to continue their work to ease the plight of some of the most vulnerable people in the world. They also featured prominently on TV broadcasts.

Corporate partners assisted with this internationally-recognised charity, helping take their corporate social responsibility to a new level while involved in this fantastic project.
