Kilkenny Catwalk

Kilkenny Catwalk

Kilkenny Civic Trust hosted the Kilkenny Catwalk 2021/2022 art trail. It was a fantastic arts trail and it was popular with residents and visitors alike, it brought businesses, arts and local communities together. This was an opportunity to partner with us to drive interest in local businesses, as we worked together to create an opportunity for local residents and visitors to get outdoors, follow the trail and enjoy our wonderful City whilst adhering to physical distancing requirements.

The Kilkenny Catwalk 2021/2022 was a trail of 21 wonderful Kilkenny Cat sculptures which were decorated by some of our most talented artists, mainly local, for public display in and around Kilkenny City.

This art project was a partnership project between Kilkenny Civic Trust and Kilkenny County Council which was engaged with outdoors, whilst adhering to physical distancing requirements. The Cat Walk art trail was fun, bright and engaging and brought a smile to people’s faces and supported the Keep Well Campaign.

It was designed to bring businesses, arts and local communities together. It provided creative work for mainly local artists and gave local businesses the knock-on benefits of visitors being attracted, to Kilkenny to view the creative and colourful trail. It was also supported by a comprehensive marketing programme designed to attract significant local, regional and national coverage to the benefit of all parties involved.

Many thanks to all the artists, sponsors, host locations, supporters, followers and everybody who visited the Kilkenny Catwalk who collectively made the art trail a massive success.

The Live Auction along with pre-sales and hosting fees generated a massive sum which will be invested by the Kilkenny Civic Trust to give a new lease of life to some of the heritage buildings in Kilkenny city.
